The
Nurture Nature Center is located in Easton,
Pennsylvania, an hour and a half from Philadelphia and New
York City. It is two blocks from a pair of major tourist attractions,
which draw 250,000 visitors a year to Easton. One is the National
Canal Museum, which has recently been outfitted with state
of the art interactive, educational exhibits, thanks to a major
National Science Foundation grant. The other is the Crayola
Factory, a popular destination for families with young children.
Easton lies at the intersection of the Delaware River and its second
largest tributary, the Lehigh River. The city marks the northernmost
point of the scenic Delaware
Canal State Park, which runs for sixty miles alongside the
river, with bicycle paths and boating along the way, and is also a part of the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor.

Easton
is a historic
town, with a vibrant arts scene and diverse population base.
It is home to one of the country's leading liberal arts colleges,
Lafayette,
with a student population of over 2,000.

Easton has a vibrant farmer's market, established in 1752, the year of the City's founding. The market remains a rich and colorful piece of Easton's heritage, standing proudly in its birthplace, the “Great Square” where it has served the needs of the people of Easton for 256 years. The market today plays a new and important role in revitalizing the City, providing a sense of spirit and community.
